Abstract

The proposed research paper dealt with the reliability measures of a software development life cycle (SDLC). SDLC is the complete process of software. SDLC is a cycle that contains six steps of software. Considering that the failures and repairs have general distribution. In this paper authors have used Markov Process techniques for modelling the SDLC. The transition state probability, time dependent availability, reliability, cost analysis, mean time to failure were calculated numerically and
graphically. Reliability of the proposed model decreases with respect to the time increases.
