Augmented strategy plans for enhancing strength reliability of an equipment under inverse Gaussian distribution

Abstract

In this article Augmentation strategy plan (ASP) is suggested for enhancing the strength of weaker equipment. Here, we have developed augmented strength reliability models for all the three possible cases under ASP. It is assumed that the Inverse Gaussian stress (Y) is subjected to the equipment having Inverse Gaussian strength (X) and are independent to each other. The numerical study is performed to validate the proposed augmented Inverse Gaussian strength reliability models under ASP.The suitability of proposed study is illustrated by some examples and cost aspects of ASP are also studied.
