Synchronization of coupled neurons in a master-slave configuration

This paper presents bursting synchronization for unidirectional coupled Hindmarsh-Rose neurons according to a master-slave configuration. The synchronisation can be associated with some pathological conditions, such as Parkinson's disease and epilepsy. We verify bursting synchronisation for a wide interval of the coupling strength. Moreover, we show results for the Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy. The entropy decreases for strong coupling when the neurons are synchronised.
