On the recursion formulas for the matrix special functions of one and two variables

Abstract

Special matrix functions have recently been investigated for regions of convergence, integral representations and the systems of matrix differential equation that these functions satisfy. In this paper, we find the recursion formulas for the Gauss hypergeometric matrix function (GHMF). We also give the recursion formulas for the two variable Appell matrix functions (AMFs).
