Goodness of fit tests for past lifetimes
Abstract
In this paper we deal with hypothesis testing for composite null hypotheses for random samples of survival or failure times that come from a conditional distribution function, that is, conditional on the fact that the subjects have survived up to a known time t. The test statistic is based on $\phi$-measures of divergence where $\phi$ a function that belongs to Csiszar's class of functions [1]. We compare the different test statistics for different functions $\phi$ in terms of size and power based on simulated data.
