Abstract

Phase-lagged heat transport models are the best known models to compensate with the effect of non-Fourier heat transfer at small scales. In this paper the original Phase-Lagged Heat Equation(PLHE) is considered and solutions for the equation are presented. The general method of separation of variables is stated to be an inappropriate approach to solve PLHE. The paradox of non-complying Dirichlet boundary condition is stated as a result of the approach. With respect to the numerical as-
pects in solving the PLHE, in this paper, it is mentioned that there is another paradox in connection with the compliance of the boundary condition.
