Abstract

The mathematical modeling of non-linear boundary value problems of reaction diffusion systems for non-steady state conditions has been examined. In this analysis, the non-linear coupled partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations and solved them analytically using Laplace transform technique to obtain temperature and concentration profiles. In this paper the thermodynamic coupling between heat and mass fluxes in the two industrial reaction diffusion systems of synthesis of vinyl chloride and dissociation of  reaction systems are analyzed. All the analytical results are compared with simulation results using Matlab. The numerical results agree with the appropriate theories.
