A Local existence and blow-up of positive-initial-energy solutions of a nonlinear wave equation with delay

In this paper, we consider a wave equation with a nonlinear source term in addition to a frictional damping subjected to constant time delay. We establish the local existence of a unique solution and then show that there are solutions with positive initial energy that blow up in a finite time.
