Application of intuitionistic fuzzy set TOPSIS in selecting most preferred OTT platform
Abstract
Since the launch of YouTube in 2005, the social media platforms have evolved to over the top (OTT) based platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. at a very rapid pace. These platforms have revolutionized the economy of various sectors and have been attracting viewers’ attention by providing different, independent and uncensored content than the traditional entertainment mediums. Thus, evaluating, ranking and selecting the most preferred OTT is a concern for users. With the present work, we have identified and discussed about various attributes that users find important so as to choose an OTT. Intuitionistic fuzzy set TOPSIS approach has been employed to select the most preferred OTT in context of Indian market.
