Classifications of solutions to some generalized nonlinear evolution equations and systems by the sine-cosine method

Abstract

In this paper, we implement the sine-cosine function method to construct and study the traveling wave solutions for some generalized evolution equations. Four models, namely the generalized Boussinesq equation, the sine-cosine Gordon equation, the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov (KGZ) equations
and the nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS), are considered. These equations play a very important role in mathematical physics and engineering sciences. Classi¯cations of the obtained solutions for each model are presented.
