On fractional hyperbolic functions and their generalizations

Abstract

This paper considers the study of fractional hyperbolic  functions which are obtained as solutions of $2^{nd}$ order Caputo fractional differential equations.  Inequality results are obtained relating the fractional hyperbolic cosine and sine functions.  Similar inequality results are also obtained for fractional cosine and sine functions.  Further   the generalized hyperbolic functions are obtained as solutions of $3^{rd}$ order and higher order Caputo fractional differential equations and their properties are discussed.  For a better understanding of these functions  tables and graphs  have been  included.
