Optimization of a transportation problem under Pythagorean fuzzy environment

Abstract

The given study targets to solve a transportation problem having Pythagorean fuzzy parameters. Proposing two methodologies which can be applied directly on the Pythagorean fuzzy numbers, makes the study unique. One technique aims to find an initial basic feasible solution and the other, optimal solution of the said problem. A procedure to defuzzify Pythagorean fuzzy numbers is also suggested here. Numerical illustration exhibits the efficiency of the proposed methodology. Comparison analysis verifies its practicability.
