Linear stability of cross diffusive chemically reacting Maxwell fluid in Darcy porous medium
Abstract
The present study reports the linear stability analysis of cross diffusive free convective thermosolutal flow of viscoelastic Maxwell fluid in a horizontal layer with chemical reaction in porous medium. The flow is driven with external heat source. The solutal transfer effect is supported by chemical reaction. The temperature gradient is also used as a flow supportive component. The onset of flow stability is calculated analytically with free-free boundaries. The neutral stability curves are plotted graphically with respect to distinguished physical parameters. Stabilizing and destabilizing characteristics of Soret parameter, Dufour parameter and Lewis number are observed during stationary convection. The impact of chemically reacting parameter Kr in delaying the commencement of convection is analysed in the oscillatory mode analysis.
