Abstract

In this paper, we propose a prey-predator system subject to fluctuating water level in a lake. This investigation is important for understanding the behavior and dependence of species on a seasonal variation of water level. In this study, conditions have been derived for the coexistence of predator, prey population and the extinction of the predators. The results are obtained by analyzing stability of equilibrium of the model. The main results have been illustrated using numerical simulations.
