Abstract

In this paper, we solve an adaptive fuzzy backstepping output feedback scheme for a class of uncertain nonlinear time delay chaotic systems. Unlike some existing control scheme for chaotic systems, no prior knowledge on the system parameter is required and only the output is available. A new observer is first designed to estimate the unmeasured state and the gain computed via LMI. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, It is proven that the proposed fuzzy adaptive control approach guarantees the semi–global boundedness property for all the signals and the tracking error to a small neighborhood of the origin. Simulation studies are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
